Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Prepare the Fireplace
- Clean the fireplace surface with a mild detergent to remove dust, soot, or grease. Rinse and allow it to dry completely.
- Lay down dust sheets to protect floors and nearby furniture.
- Use masking’s tape to protect areas that won’t be painted.
- Lightly sand the surface to help the primer adhere, then wipe away any dust with a clean cloth.
Step 2: Prime the Surface
- Stir the Stonelux® Primer & Undercoat thoroughly.
- Apply an even layer using a brush or roller.
- Let the primer dry for 2-3 hours before moving on to the fireplace paint .
