130ML Colour Sample Pots are available in our most popular 15 colours and in all 4 of our stone effect paint finishes: Simply Stone, Stone Flecks, Antiqued Stone and Smooth Stone.
Paint colours can change the way they look in different lighting conditions, we therefore recommend purchasing a Colour Sample Pot to make sure you love your chosen colour.
Try painting a piece of study card (no smaller than A5) in your chosen colour. The card can be moved around the area you intend to paint, allowing you a better vision of how the colour will look. Please note that these are colour samples only and do not include any product specific additives..
Colours displayed on screen may vary from the colour of the stone paints due your individual screen settings. We recommend you request a hand-painted Stonelux Colour Chart.
I tried out a sample pot in Limestone Simply Stone. The colour was right, and the effect almost what I was looking for around my stove. I’ve now ordered this in Stone Flecks, wanting something with a little more depth, and am optimistic it will give me the look I hope to achieve.
Excellent product! Gives a fantastic natural stone effect and has restored an original stone item back to its full glory!
I wanted to cover some unattractive grey, marked hearth stones. The sample paint I tried covered very well, even without an undercoat, but it didn't look good on the rough, uneven paving stones so I didn't go ahead. But I'd recommend the paint as excellent stuff.
Was a lot harder to apply than I thought it would be. Took 2 undercoats and 4 top coats so I had to purchase more paint. Disappointed with the end result the finish is not professional looking .
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we do appreciate feedback from all our customers. I can see from your order history that you have purchased 1 Litre Fireplace Paint and 500ml Primer, and subsequently a 150ml Sample Pot. Where a surround, back panel and hearth is to be painted (as per your photograph), we do recommend the 2.5 Litre Fireplace Paint with 1 Litre Primer, as the small pack does not contain enough paint to achieve a desirable finish. If you have applied 4 coats of paint with just over 1 Litre of Fireplace Paint, it is likely that the coats have been too thin, which has resulted in the disappointing finish. To achieve the authentic finish we expect from our Fireplace Paint, we would recommend you apply a further coat of paint with a natural bristled economy brush. I hope this goes some way to explaining why you have been unable to achieve a professional finish, however, if you do have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Kind regards, Stonelux
The paint is very good and I’m very pleased with the result. I would also like to say the people that I spoke to where very helpful and quite happy to answer all my questions and gave good advise.
We bought a trial pot to test what the paint would look like on our wooden fireplace. Very pleased with result and are going to purchase enough paint to transform our fireplace.
