Embarking on a painting project can be both exciting and daunting. The coloUr and texture you choose sets the tone for your space. That's where Stonelux sample pots come in, offering a sneak peek into how your final choice will look and feel. Here's how to make the most of these handy tools:
- Test Colors Individually: Colours can influence each other. Test each Stonelux colour solo to get a true sense of its result.
- Paper or Card Testing: Apply your sample onto a sturdy piece of card (no smaller than A5). This lets you move the card around, testing it in different spots and under various lighting conditions.
- Apply Multiple Coats: For a true colour representation, apply at least 3 coats. It ensure you see the colour in its true depth and richness.
- Test Under Different Lighting: Colours change under different lights. Observe your sample in both natural and artificial light to see its true versatility.
- Label Your Samples: To avoid confusion, especially with similar shades, label your samples clearly with their names and finish type.

A classic stone finish that contains natural ground stone, combined with large stone flecks to create a simulated aged stone appearance. The prominence of the flecks provides the appearance of stonework that has been naturally altered by the passage of time, for a worn rustic feel with vintage charm.

Is a good product but you need to be aware of how much you need. At least 4 coats. So can become expensive for a large area. Very watery so without many coats does not give good coverage. Once applied the finish is excellent.

I needed a paint for a fireplace surround that matches stone heart colour was perfect , I tried the paint with some grit in it but decided the rough surface would be difficult to clean so orderd a trial of same colour in smooth paint . Colour again perfect but paint seems just like any other paint and is so expensive I’m looking to find colour in another brand . May have to buy iif can’t find one to match colour but feel without stone bits it is very expensive .

Hi I purchased a sample pot of the limestone thinking it would be the colour of limestone which is on your website (more of a grey creamy looking colour from what I could see) the colour I received in the pot was very yellow almost a Magnolia and unfortunately we have not been able to use any on the stone I was covering but I do appreciate your help and service with regards to sending out the sample pot.
